I also started reading Omeros, which finally arrived in the mail. It's obviously written well, but I'm not really connecting to it all that much. It's not something I would have read by myself. But this Epic Homeric-style poem has to be read by the time I go to my residency in January, so I'm reading along through it.
In other news, it's now Christmas season. Adam and I have strung up some really awesome lights outside and put up our tree. All the ornaments I had as a kid are all gone--either burned in the fire or hidden somewhere at my bio dad's place. Either way, I'll never see them again. So I've been replenishing my ornament collection. Which is extremely addicting. My mom tells me I have a kiddie tree though, because most of my ornaments are Disney ornaments. My most recent ornament was Beaker from The Muppets. It sings. It made Adam laugh, so yeah, it was worth it. Once I get all the ornaments I'll be getting in the mail, I'll post a picture. I know, nothing to do with writing, but I did sort of say this was going to be like a diary anyway, right? So, anyway, speaking of Adam, I just bought him the most awesome Christmas present I think I've ever bought him. It has to do with our favorite t.v. series, The Walking Dead--which, despite giving me really lucid nightmares every night, is really good. I'm hoping I can keep the gift a secret until Christmas. As of yet in our almost eight years together, I've never made it all the way to Christmas without giving in and blabbing.

I just get too excited about those sorts of things.
Also, as I mentioned before, I convinced Adam to get outfits for our dogs, so I thought I'd post the pictures. Festive Christmas spirit inserted!
